The story begins

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture.
Some begin with violins, candlelight, or poetry.

Ours began with two very different people, from two very different worlds, walking into the same workplace in Delhi in 1999 — neither of them knowing that life had quietly started writing its most important chapter.

This is the story of Gatik and Sandra.
A story of mischief and discipline.
Of faith and family.
Of old Fiats and yellow salwar kameezes.
Of two ceremonies, two daughters, one business, one migration, and many, many decisions made in our own way.

And twenty-five years later, we pause to celebrate not just the day we got married, but everything that came before it, everything that came after it, and everyone who has walked with us along the way.

The story of us

01
Chapter

Two Lives Before One Story

Before there was Gatik and Sandra, there was Gatik. And there was Sandra. Two children born in 1978. Two Indian families. Two completely different beginnings.

One a charmer. One a quiet force. Neither knew the other existed.

02
Chapter

When Chaos Met Clarity

Then came 1999. Both graduated. Both started their first jobs. And both found themselves at GE Capital in Delhi — neither knowing that life had quietly started writing its most important chapter.

There was a yellow salwar kameez. There was a birthday phone call waited for like a verdict. There was a shopping trip that only one of them knew was a date.

03
Chapter

A Yes in the Delhi Winter

It was New Year's Eve. The car was an old Fiat. Two friends were asked to step out and push. The car had not actually broken down.

Some proposals happen under the stars. This one happened differently.

04
Chapter

We'll Do It Our Way

The church said yes — if he converted. The temple said yes — if she converted. Gatik and Sandra said no to both. And then they did something far more beautiful.

Two ceremonies. One promise. Completely theirs.

05
Chapter

Building TransforMe, Transforming Us

They had jobs. They had two daughters. They had stability. And then, naturally, they decided to make it unstable. With a three-month-old baby and no income, they quit everything and started a business from a child's bedroom.

Nothing was going to stop them now.

Chapter

Australia — The Dream That Waited

Australia had entered their story once before. The papers were ready, the dream was real — and then they chose family over adventure. Some dreams are not cancelled. They are simply asked to wait.

Fifteen years later, the dream called again. This time, they answered.

07
Chapter

Still Choosing You

Twenty-five years later, Gatik and Sandra are not renewing their vows because the old ones faded. They are renewing them because now they understand them more deeply.

The most beautiful chapter is the one yet to be written.

A note from Gatik & Sandra

You are receiving this because you are part of this story.

Not as a guest. As a chapter. Some of you knew me before Sandra. Some of you knew Sandra before me. Some of you watched us figure out what love actually means. Some of you have only just entered our world — but entered it at exactly the right time.

On 26 December 2026, Sandra and I will celebrate 25 years of a life built entirely on our own terms. There will be a story read aloud. There will be performances. There will be laughter, and probably a few tears, and then a great deal of dancing.

We cannot wait to have you there.
